BTW, I can not download the vBSEO Sitemap Addon, why is that?

Ah, this looks like it'll be very useful. I just installed Zoints tags and am in the process of cleaning things up after the auto generation.

I added it but I can't seem to get it to work. Is there any other reason it wouldn't pick up the URL's and throw them into the sitemap? I'm using sitemap v2

Having the same problem. Installed it and it seems not to work. Using Sitemap V2 too. Basically what I did:

1. added vb_seo_zoints_tag_sm.php to my /httpdocs/vbseo_sitemap/addons - folder
2. added vb_seo_zoints_tag_sm to the Addon Generator Modules settings in VBSEO Sitemap settings.

For me (atm) prove that it doesnt work properly:

This tag named Welcome exits: welcome Threads - Forum Tags by Zoints
but doesnt show up in the sitemap: http://www.u-pkr.com/sitemap_1.xml.gz

You added vb_seo_zoints_tag_sm or vb_seo_zoints_tag_sm.php?

It's working here with 2.0. You need to have the .php on it though.

I'm debating the long term pro/con of adding such a large # of additional URLs to the sitemap which are not actually unique content and whether this will throw off the weight of the site as determined by the search engines. Granted these are all internal links, but given the press over the penalizing of blogrolls and reciprocal linking, I'm a bit paranoid.

On the pro side, however, the gentle nudge to dig a bit deeper into the site is certainly enough motivation for me to give it a try :-)

Non-english characters in the tags cause invalid urls in the sitemaps and google gives warning messages.
Is there a way or code to replace non-english characters to english ones in those urls without changing the tags? Thanks

While not specific to Zoints tags, in the past I have used PHPs URLEncode (PHP: urlencode - Manual. It ends up looking like "%26%2320276%3B%26%2320406%3B" for example.. won't help Search Engine Optimization much, but it does keep Tags from breaking.. Would need to put this code in where the URL is created and PHP should do the rest of the work for you..

1. I uploaded the file vb_seo_zoints_tag_sm.php to vbseo_sitemap/addons/ directory.
2. I added vb_seo_zoints_tag_sm.php to Addon Generator Modules.

Now, sitemap has items like .../showthread.php?t=21930&page=36. I have no idea why I don't get zoint urls... Help is greatly appreciated.
