Post vBSEO Sitemap Generator 2.0 Released

Hello everyone,

Our vBSEO Google/Yahoo Sitemap Generator, Version 2.0 has been officially released.

Download via vBulletin.org:Note: Although there is only ONE (1) vBSEO Google/Sitemap Generator product, we ask you to please download (and get support) in the thread corresponding to the vBulletin version you are running. This will allow us to better serve you.

It is recommended that you upgrade your sitemaps to version 2.0, in order to be compatible with all features in vBSEO 3.0 GOLD which has just been released.

Updates in vBSEO Google/Yahoo Sitemaps v.2.0:

In addition to several bug fixes and code improvements, version 2.0 of our sitemap plugin also includes the following new features and upgrades:
  • NEW FEATURE: (available only to vBSEO enabled boards): LinkBacks included in Smart Priority Calculations: Linkbacks are now a factor in the calculations for "Smart Priority". In previous versions only (a) page views, (b) replies, and (c) rating) were used for the calculation.
  • NEW FEATURE: Resume Generation feature. If the sitemap generator exceeds the maximum execution time and is interrupted, the time time it is run it will resume processing from the point completed previously. This ensures that even extremely large forums will be able to generate their sitemap files despite the possible max execution time errors they may encounter.

    NOTE:
If a timeout occurs before the first sitemap file is generated, the number of entries per sitemap option in AdminCP should be reduced.
  • NEW FEATURE: Poll results URLs can now be included in sitemaps. Corresponding options for the feature included in AdminCP.
  • NEW FEATURE: 'Sitemap Files URL' option allows you to specify a non-default URL to use for your sitemap files location. Default is your default vBulletin URL. This is useful when your vBulletin installation is located in a sub-folder, instead of the root.
  • NEW FEATURE: 'If you have vBSEO, include old urls?' option added to AdminCP, allowing old dynamic formated URLs to be included in the sitemap even if vBSEO is installed.
  • UPDATE: Report ordering (ascending or descending) can be defined for reports using a setting in the vbseo_sitemap_config.php file:

    Code:

    define('VBSEO_SORT_ORDER', 'asc');

  • UPDATE: Sitemap Protocol Version 0.9 is now supported (See www.sitemaps.org).
  • UPDATE: The Yahoo sitemap file name has been changed from sitemap.txt to urllist.txt.
  • UPDATE: Memory management optimization.
  • UPDATE: Package now includes md5 sums file to to ensure that vBSEO and vBSEO Sitemap are running compatible versions.
  • UPDATE: Pagination on Sitemap Downloads Log and SE Bots Activity Log: Reports are now divided into multiple pages.
  • UPDATE: Runcode is no longer included in the vbseo_sitemap.php?runcode= URL format. A cookie value is used instead (Note: cookie is encoded).
  • UPDATE: 'Run from vBulletin Scheduled Tasks Manager ONLY' option deprecated and removed.
  • UPDATE: 'Direct Script Run Code' option renamed to "vBSEO Sitemap Interface Access Password".
  • UPDATE: Readme file now contains compatible rewrite rules for IIS, Lighthttpd, Zeus & Litespeed.

  • UPDATE: Forums set as public, but "inactive" will now be included in the sitemap since they are still publically accessible by URL.
  • UPDATE: Full compatibility for servers that are running PHP with the "short tags off" configuration setting enabled.
  • UPDATE: Archive thread view is supported in sitemaps when vBSEO is disabled or when it is configured to show archive threads.
  • UPDATE: Daysprune definition per forum is now supported.
  • UPDATE: Sitemap interface page (at /vbseo_sitemap/) includes the exact URL that should be submitted to Google.
  • UPDATE: Text description for 'Include Archive Pages' feature updated in AdminCP options.
  • UPDATE: vBA add-on changed to check user permissions to ensure that only publically accessible pages are included in the sitemap.
  • FIX: Google error regarding parsing of sitemap.
  • FIX: Pagination of archived forumdisplay pages is corrected (excludes moved threads).
