vBulletin Modder Announces The Release of vBWeather Lite

After much contemplation I have decided to release a free version of vBWeather. This vBulletin Mod will be available to members in good standing who have 25 or more posts. All posting rules apply and spam and non contributory posts will be removed. All those that try to circumvent this requirement through any means will be banned.

I do this mostly because I am in a coding funk and need some inspiration to do more work on this mod. I intend to release another version of vBWeather that will have more features and be available to those members who choose to support vBulletin Modder through financial donations.

If you qualify to download this hack please note that I retain full and complete copyright to vBWeather and it's code. You may not share it, redistribute it, post in in part or in whole on another website or in the public areas of this site. You may not create dirivitive works of any kind. Including but not limited to other mods or hacks for vBulletin based on this code in part or in whole. Violaters will be banned and outed publicly.

Anyway, enjoy vBWeather and hopefully it will motivate me to get to work.

(Too bad though, most members of my forum reside in Thailand, for which Weather.com provides updates on only 2 cities, namely Bangkok and Chiang Mai, at the moment.)

I for one would still donate to the site for it.
and I plan to if I can reach an acceptable 5 post count. Its hard not to post without being perceived as padding the count.
Maybe Ill try one post a day and just lurk and have a look around for a bit. .

I don't get it. Is the weather just a link? You just click on the Icon and it brings you to the weather site or am I missing something?

I believe the weather is hard coded to extract the information from the weather channel site after entering, I'd assume your local zipcode either is the hradcode itself or in a seperate box. I don't know, but just a guess.
