Let me make this clear.
This site will not tolerate the theft of any software wether it's ours or anyone elses. If it is determined that you are using nulled versions of vBulletin. Or if it is determined that you are involved in any way with the piracy of copyright software. You will be banned from this site and any monies paid will be forfeit.
Your site will also be submited to Jelsoft.

personally, i can't say i mind that much paying for software as long as it's fully functional or comes with really good tech support (unlike microsoft. lol) i just wish vbulletin were a little more lax with their TOS. (ouch @ 120 extra to remove branding)

yep, i suppose you're right there. though i think their pricing system is a little.. off.. esp for each release seeming to only need more bug fixes esp thinking about the nasty xss holes they have had for the past several months. but ah well, vBulletin imo is certainly worlds better than ipb ever dreamed of being.

oh yeah.. 120 extra for the no branding option.. plus 160 for an owned license.. and so yeah.. 280 just to start off with an owned license and the ability to remove the branding and version # from the pages (which is where i meant to comment about their TOS .. due to removing the version # being controversial. according to some @ vBulletin.org, you can remove the version #.. according to others it's strictly a violation of vBulletin.com's TOS). and god forbid anyone need professional installation.. there's another 135 off the bat.. (can anyone say OUCH!?) lol good thing vBulletin doesn't require rocket science to install. haha though .. i have to admit.. there are some things .. hacks.. i've found.. that i'm surprised vBulletin doesn't package as PART of their forum software.. for instance the ajax live registration feedback hack.. to me.. this is a GREAT hack. i don't have the latest version (as i'm short on $$$ at the moment) but i do have the older version that was previously posted on vBulletin.org.. GREAT hack imo. its definitely one of those things i'm surprised vBulletin didn't find a way to include into their 3.6.x releases as standard material (even if it meant buying it from code monkey to do so .. they could afford it.. @ 160 per owned license and 85 per leased) :P
i would've posted a screenshot.. however.. i don't yet have the required # of posts. the screen however is cost of owned license + no branding fee + installation ... comes out to 415.. ... can anyone say OUCH!? lol

I own 3 vBulletin lics and one branding free lic also When you have a semi busy forum, I thought it might be good to not show that.

None really, it's a matter of preference or a matter of relativity with cash. If Mike Jordan spends 50,000 on betting on a golf swing, some would say he has a gambling problem....but that 50K is equal to yours and mine 50cents.
In the industry that we are in vBulletin is completely foreign and barely no one knows about them. Also, on busy forums like ours, it's kinda nice to limit those if you have the money and we have the money

Okay. I would have presumed that, but always nice to get some affirmation. Cheers.
Of course your post begs the question, got any extra money?
Seriously, though, thanks for answering the question.

heh yeah.. we are off topic.. but hey, atleast we're all in basic agreement.. that vBulletin should kick out the $$$ to you so that they can integrate the live registration feedback into vBulletin as standard equipment
