It is now in /public_html/
That is my root, correct? I had it there when I checked with Site5 about mod_rewrite, but they said to move it up a level... unless I misunderstood.
Anyway, I now have it there. Should I run the cron and see if it works?

Yep... ran it and submitted all the sitemaps manually. Waiting for google.
thanks again.
I am not too concerned about this working with afterseppuku (although I'd like it too) but once I get moved servers and set up I intend on openning a new forum and definitely need it to work there.

I think you are right my friend. So far 4 of them have been accepted by Google.
So, in the future the generator will simply run and I won't see it on Google, but they will indeed be updating, correct?
If you manually submit to sitemap page (which youshould) it will tell you how long ago it was downloaded. They usually do it twice a day.

Good guess. Seems to have not survived the migration. Putting it back and trying again.

Looks like it's working. However you seem to have changed your sitemap to 40,000 urls each. NOT ADVISABLE Google wants no more than 20,000 per sitemap. Plus you have been telling Google that you have 5 and now that there are 2 it will still look for 3,4, and 5 and get pissed a bit and might stop looking.
The key is consistancy.

hehehehe....
I was checking it a lot. It said a 50K limit, but I reset it to 20K. Will go back and redo everything, but does seem to be working now. I wonder where the .htaccess file went?!?!
I changed it back to 20K, but excluded some forums. It is not producing 5 sitemaps now anyway. Only 4.

Some ftp programs won't see hidden files unless they are set to see them. The process of moving the files uses the same protocols as these programs so it probably just didn't see it.

Weirdness...
was toying around ftp and noticed it was gone... again.
Seems that Fluid must remove it. I can simply change in the Control Panel though.
