So, just out of curiousity, how long had you been running vBSEO before your numbers were like this and what are they now?

When the day is done I will post the whole 120 days of spider activity which shows a dramatic difference.
What I can tell you now is if you do a site:vbmodder.com in google it will return a extremely clean result with absolutely no duplicates. This was not the case before. The shown links to reserved links ratio is very high. I believe at this time it shows 1000 links to our pages of a total of 1430 cached.
In comparison, I have another site using vBulletin that is two years older and does not use vBSEO. That site shows over 14,000 pages cached but will only display less than 250 of them. The rest it considers duplicates. All the member profiles, single post links, and archive links are shown as duplicate or similar content. This is where vBSEO takes vBulletin to a new level. You won't find these problems with this site.
I am quite amazed. Yes I know you can do it on your own with a little work. But frankly, the price is right for me to not have to do that work and get all the other features as well.

In comparison, do a site:vbulletin-faq.com search on google. This is another well known vbulletin website that has been around longer and does not implement vBSEO. You will see that it has an amazing 162,000 pages cached. However, if you click on the numbered links below you will not get past the 29th link. Google views those 290 pages as valid non-duplicate content results and the rest is far to similar to be used. Does that mean that the content on these other pages is not good? no, it's mearely an indication of how google views that content and wether they will direct searchers to it. This is a typical vBulletin forum that is in need of vBSEO to clean up it's SERPS.

Ok here is the snapshot from 120 days. It was so big I had to cut off the right side which simply breaks down the bots targets. Noticed how the peaks and valleys have continously climed higher. Keep in mind that this site was here for about the same time prior without vBSEO and it had peaks of about 200. Obviosuly some of this is natural with increased content. However, the content here hasn't increased much.
Overall I am quite pleased witht he results of vBSEO and will be saving up to buy a copy for my other vBulletin site as well.

How did you check before vBseo?
I'd like to compare my two forums also.
BTW - your numbers at around 40 days are nearly double mine, however my forum is about 45 days old total, so its not quite an Apples to Apples comparison I suppose.
Thanks for posting this CM.

There are various apps out there that will count spider hits. Isn't there one for vBulletin as well?
