i was wanting to find out if anybody knows how to create sub forums but not be able to post within the subforums. kind of hard to explain. i would like to set it up like this website has theres but cannot seem to find anything. when you go here Dodge Talk Community Forum - Ram 2nd Gen (94 ? 01) Forums you will notice the subforums. that is how i want mine to look. everytime i create sub forums it will come up like that but then at the bottom it will have to where you post right there where the sub forums are. any help on this would be appreciated. i have looked everywhere and cannot seem to find anything. Thanks

Not being able to see the AdminCP for that forum I can only guess how they did this, but I think this will work.

Create your categories and then your forums in each categorie. When you set up the Forums as children under each categorie close them to new posts and threads....

In fact, I am gonna test this on my forum - BRB.

Okay... almost, but no cigar.

If you go to my forum: After Seppuku - What will you do now?
then go to the Pictures forum.

Similiar, but I still get the empty forum for pictures when doing this...


Sheesh... all that work and nada. I'll have to put it back the way it was at some point I suppose, but certainly can't be arsed to mess with it now!! :lol:

lol, thanks alot for looking. I have tried that also and spent a fair amount of time doing it and have yet to figure it out. Maybe i will figure it out one of these days..LOL... Thanks
