Server overload hack

Hi,

I am looking for the hack to control the server overload so that only a certain usergroups could log during the "crisis".
Could anyone please direct me where I could find such hack?

Not really sure what you are talking about. If the server is overloaded then no one will get in no matter what.

OK, I am sorry, perhaps I was not explicit: For instance when the forum becomes very busy and many members are trying to login, it will put lots of stress on the server and will become very slow.
I have seen busy forums when there is such high activity, it will not let you login unless you are a VIP, or paid member. It will also display a message encouraging members to buy a subscription or whatever the package is.
I noticed at similar hack at vBulletin...org but it is too old for 3.5 only.

I know there is a mod out there somewhere to switch the search functions over to Google search when the forum gets busy, but I have never heard of what you mention. The best thing to do is get more resources.
