good to know... on an ancient setup I used it, might explain indeed quite some problems I started to have. Never thought it would affect the bots...

Well, when AmyKar had her premissions mod it caused the same problems. The problem is, that they are evaluating user data. However, sessions and such are turned off for bots since it's an internal application and we don't need all this to test the users permissions. So the hack can't see the post count and denies the post.

I should add that this could all be solved if everyone, including jelsoft would agree to something like an "IS_BOT" constant setting that would turn off all the unneeded garbage in one setting and at the same time give a third party application something to check for before permissions.
