Read Pm Script
I dont know the forum rules for posting php scripts yet, so therefore i will not be posting any scripts yet.
However i have got a script which enables you to view other peoples personal messages to make sure there are no people spamming on your website.
I will wait for a responce from admin for permission to post this or to pm him with the code so he can add it to the modifications.
Hope this post is not deleted as im trying my best to get rid of the moderations on the start of this forum.
After authorisation from admin post below and i will post the link to the script.

and I have a doubt about what you allow there. Many countries have very simple and touch rules on privacy
PM = private message....
I'd at least add a clear line in the read me referring to local laws to respect.... (this side of the ocean this is clearly not allowed)

I totally agree. Without permission from PM owner if you read their personal messages you invade other peoples privacy and this can even return to you as a law suit.

It would only be illegal unless you state in your terms of service (AKA, in the Agreement Statement before you register) that you the power to do this and will do this for security reasons of your forum. When members sign up and click that I Agree button they're in a binding contract with whatever you stated there (assumed it still follows the laws, of course). However, I don't believe it's against the law to be able to view people's private messages if you clearly state in your terms of service that this is what you will be doing. Nevertheless I sort of find the hack pointless, unless it's for a smaller forum, because like... good luck reading 100's of PM's otherwise.

Having a hack for this shouldn't be of any legal concern, considering you can already read anybody's PM's via phpmyadmin.

well i understand what people are saying but to own a site without this tool opens you up to spam, pep can join your website and sent pm to all members spamming there site, and you would know no different.
this hack allows better security on your site so that you dont get spammed.
again i am still unclear about posting hacks, can admin plz pm me and let me know the rules about posting php hacks.
thanks

To be honest, I don't see how this hack is so useful. What's more useful is the NoSpam! feature available for vBulletin that prevents spam bots from registering to begin with. If you're truly concerned about your site's security then you can use that, the CAPTCHA, and the verification email processes all at the same time. I'd say that using all of those will protect you pretty damn well.
Otherwise, in your case, somebody would have to sit there and read everyone's PM's. And like I said before, if you have a small forum then this probably won't be an issue (but neither will spam, really), and if you have a large forum then good luck going through 100's of PM's to see if any of them are spam. Besides... people aren't morons either (I'll admit, some very much are), they'll probably report it if they start recieving any spam via PM's.
Overall PM's isn't a very good way to send spam because for one thing it usually has a limit on the amount of users you can send PM's to per time quota (default is 5 users per PM per minute I believe). If spam's going to appear anywhere, it'll most likely be on your forums and not PM's.
Oh and uhm... if I understand it correctly then you can post your mod/script if you're the one that made it. If it isn't yours then you're not allowed to post.
