So, I have heard that you should edit your header also. I have also heard that you should just load it into your home directory and forget about doing anything else.

The one here is simply loaded into the root directory. I believe you only need to add it to your header if it deviates from the ico extension and the standard size.

That is what I thought and did. I loaded it to my root and will wait...

by root, you mean (for me) /www.fotofanatix.com/html/

By root I mean wherever your home page goes.
