Admin rep power for moderators?

I always wanted to give my moderators the same rep power that Admins have (10 to start with by default), however, I wasn't able to find a hack for this that would work with vBulletin 3.6.4. Does anybody know of a hack like this that would work with the latest version? If not, does anybody know how this could be implemented? I can't see it being much more than editing some code.

I just increased my Mods Rep in the Admin CP so their power was where I wanted it.

That's certainly a solution, but the only problem with that is that mods start out with a pretty high rep. I feel that everyone on the forums should start out with 0 rep and grow (or decay) from there depending on how useful they are to the community. However, I also wanted mods to have the same rep power as admins so they could give a lot of rep to people that contribute to the forum a lot. This motivates people to post useful posts and content in order to recieve the 10 points from different mods and admins.

I hear ya, but I also felt that if I was gonna use Reputation then My Mods should have more to better represent there position.

Not sure what all you have in mind, so this may or may not work.

You can look around my forum and see all the different Usergroups/Ranks I've provided for those who post a lot and recieve Rep.

After Seppuku - What will you do now?

I feel like mods should be more like other players in a sense that they start out with 0 rep and make their way up if they do a good job of moderating. And then if they're not doing so good then they're going to be repped likewise and will probably not remain a mod for long given the complaints that will most likely result from this.

And uhm... cool mods on your forum. I need to get my hands on some of those, hehe.

I hear what your saying, but I figured none of my Mods were made Mods if they hadn't already proven themselves.

And thanks for the compliment.

It's not that I will not take care to pick good mods, but it's that the community would have the ability to provide feedback to the things the mod does, which will essentially determine a mod's popularity amongst the members I suppose. It's not something credible that will be used to judge mods, necessarily (not by admins anyway), but it's just a thing for the community. Personally I would be curious to see what the community think of our mods and what they do regardless of whether I would choose to do something about it or not. This would also be an indicator to the new members concerning mods.

The bottom line is that I want to implement rep power without adding on rep itself just like it is for an admin. I can't see the modification being difficult in terms of implementation, but then I don't script so I can't do it myself.
