Vbulletin indexing site
I run several vbulletin forums and thought this would be a great site to build. Those familiar with digg will get the basic idea. You are able to have users of your forum submit newsworthy threads which people then vote on, comment on,and bookmark. Think of it as social linking. It's a great way to get more traffic to your forum which benefits us all. It's super easy to integrate into any version of vbulletin. Here is the link to the 3.6 version of the template modification: Submission button for ThreadTag.com - digg style site for forums - vBulletin.org Forum
The site itself is ThreadTag /(i'm very open to suggestions)
Thanks
Brian

I've been wondering about how much traffic a site like Digg can give..
Are you receiving any traffic from your version ?

People can come there, find the genre they enjoy and find forum threads from all of their favorite message boards all in one place. They might even stumble onto a new forum they were not aware of. It's far more usefull than the regular directories people submit to because this one requires interaction from real people.

Well, if your going to make it work then you need to get page ranking and quality link backs.
That is what will motivate others to join in. And the links to stories your have there should be good links without "no follow" rules that limit reciprocal Search Engine Optimization benefits.
There has to be a benefit for both parties if you want people to supply your site with content. That may be the case now, I'm just throwing that out there.

That's the goal of the site already. We don't use no follow on our links as that would defeat the purpose of the site. We have some VERY strong backlinks that will show up in the next Page Ranking update. Just a matter of time and marketing. We've got a press release going out on monday which should help kick things off as well. My main business is internet marketing and Search Engine Optimization, so i'm far from new to all of this.

Yes, curious about the traffic also.
I don't see any forums in there? Maybe I need new glasses.
Try not to make it a Digg site...

It's a good idea. Unfortunately, I saw he got some rude responces at certain other forums so maybe he got discouraged.

Well, unfortunatelly, that's why some people stop developing ideas, due to rude people.
