Is it possible to post the full-text of a RSS feed?

Hi, Code Monkey,

I was really amazed by this MOD, which can auto detect updates of various websites with RSS. After installation, I managed to make it work.

However, is it possible to post the full contents of a RSS feed such that visitors can save one click to its original place to have more details?

I know almost all RSS provides only partial contents in its XML. Is there a way to extract the information embedded in the {rss:link}?

Thanks
David

Why not setup a second private RSS feed with full content?

Or are you talking about taking other people's content for your site?

Hi, I am talking about taking full content of other's website through the RSS feed published by that site with partial contents.

Thanks

No it's not possible. What's in the feed is what is available to post. It's also what the site is giving you permision to use as well.

Well, in the contents of RSS feed, each message has a {rss:description} and {rss:link}. With this link a hand, xmlhttp can be used to retrieve its content. Regular expressions can be applied on the retrieved content to extract the major contents.

I am talking about this. Has anybody had done this?

That would be content theft and is not something we would help you with here. On top of that, you would only be creating duplicate content which will be penalized by google and ruin your SERPS and is not generally good for your site. Small tidbits with a back link are ok but duplicating content, especially without permission, is not.
