I really like the idea of yearly access to subscriptions, I even suggested it awhile ago at the .org so I don't see how I can't support a site which is trying to implement it.. best of luck and I hope it works out.

Also, when I tried to pay for the subscription it would only accept credit card information, it wouldn't allow me to pay using my paypal account?

It's going ok so far. It's a rough ride when you start a site unplanned. I usually like to tinker in the back room for months before opening the curtain.

Only one other coder right now has a mod here. Not sure where that will go but it's there if peeps want to participate. Though I have to give them the coder status before I would allow them to post their work here. Sorry, no tinker toys available here.

That's odd. Others have used paypal. Didn't it take you to the paypal screen with your login bit for paypal? It should take you to their site then it's all on them until you are redirected back here after the transaction. You might want to ask them about that. Did you try a different browser or logging in to paypal directly?

yeah, it took me to the paypal site but would only let me input credit card information, it wouldn't allow me to enter my paypal id or anything.

Maybe after this gets going a bit more you can try to wrangle in those other independents with significant work and together get it going. People will go where the coders and support is. And if you have a good system running then seems natural that the coders would want to release their work here.

Might be something with your cookie settings and third party sites. You can login in directly to paypal correct? I just tried it a while ago and it worked fine. It took me to the invoice login page.

paypal worked fine things time, thanks. dunno what it was the first time that only had a credit card input, was odd.

Interesting. Could also be they had a problem which was fixed by the time I checked and you tried again. Gotta love the interweb.
