Im going to buy this hack as soon as the money is in my paypal account.

Im wondering if it is possible to move the boxes around that give you message.

For instance, beside the username where it tells you if the username is available, would i be able to move that little box somewhere else on the page, like under or over the input boxes instead.
... im sure you can but what part of the code/template would i actually need to "move" to get them to show up where i want.

also how would i go about changing the colours of the boxes to something that would suit my forum colours easier.

I am moving this to pre-sales.

You don't really want to put the box under since people have prior entries cached and they will get their own browser drop down of possible choices that will hide LFS output.

It comes with a css file label with a _1 1 being the style id of your master style. Just make a copy of the css for each style and change the copies # to that of the styleid. _1 or _12 etc.

well since i dont have it i dont know what your talking about.... but i seen this on a site somewhere a while ago, and i didnt like where the boxes displayed, but cant remember where i thought they might look better lol.

oh i remember what i wanted to do.... move those boxes that give the feedback to the right of the frame so they are all aligned/floating on the right side of the group boxes.

so im sure you could just use an align property or a style tag and float:right somewhere?

and then change the colours using the method you describe.

Yes it is, though the instructions could use an overhall. You can't use the complete register template I provide for 3.6. You have to do the individual edits. I should probably make a new template for those that want to overwrite the whole thing.

They changed the captcha bit to be a seperate template now.

When I was developing this I failed to find a single style that altered the register template in any way. That is why I offered a whole template. I haven't had time to really look at the 3.6 one that had some changes. Which is why I haven't put it up yet. I will try to find some time to go over that.

Meanwhile, you can post your troubles in the support forum for Live Feedback System and we can have a look at it and come up with a solution for you.

so this will be installed ona 3.6.2 board.... what would i need to do?? copy a whole template? i dont thin i have any hacks that modified the register template.

No, you would just need to follow the instructions for manually editing the template. Editing each section at a time.

I'm running 3.6.2 and it works on mine, you just need to get the files from the thread in the AJAX Live Feedback System forum. There is a thread towards the bottom, in its title there's something like "Contains Fix" or something similar.



you overwrite the files from the 1.31 packet, upload the packet (after installing the xml), edit the template, and you're good to go.


Note: Since this is a pre-sales question, I'm assuming you're don't own a subscription, I don't think that the AJAX Live Feedback Forum is availible to nonsubscribers.

Tomorrow morning i will be buying my subscription....soon as the money hits my paypal account.right now it will be on a 3.5.3 board, but we will be moving to 3.6.2 soon enough.

Then you can just use the whole template provided. Then when you upgrade don't revert the template. Just replace the captcha template area with the new variable vBulletin provides for it.

Instead of having the html for it in register template, they now have it in a seperate template. Not a big deal.

You have to go to the support forum for this mod to get that kind of help. No guarentees though, customization is at your own risk.
