About This Page: This is a discussion on the sidebar here on vBulletin Modder within the Suggestions and Ideas forums, part of the Site Business category, at vBulletin Modification Discussions. I suggest trying to make it a little thinner
I use 1024 x 800 ( or close to ) res, and some threads and pm's I have to scroll to see it all
if the sidebar was a little thinner, this |

if the sidebar was a little thinner, this wouldn't be so bad..

I have to agree on this, have same resolution as you. Monkey, maybe try already to use a smaller font, 1 or 2 pixels less.... table should anrrow automagically...
On frontpage it is attracting the eye more then the central part that should be the atraction here.

I like it. How the heck do you get anything done in 1024? Raise that sucker up to 1280.
You can't automagically reduce a fixed graphic. without distorting it.

Maybe it just needs to be on the right side.

not everyone has latest model of computers and if you look in your stats, you'll see that 1024 is most used...

my lappy is also 4, still happpy but I ordered me an imac last week. Should get it somewhere end next week and then I can push resolution up.... FC4 on this lap doesn't want to go higher then 1024.... and the second screen not above 800 even with special nvidia driver.... but I don't complain. It is a good machine

I'm midst upgrading my forum where your stuff is installed, we test in FF, Opera, Safari but believe me for IE, we don't care, it is messed.. pitty for them. Micro$oft doesn't want to respect the rules, well let them do, but don't expect us to follow anymore, we don't need them. Once finished I'll even set a little line, best viewed with no IE browser.

FYI: I am in the process of moving hte sidebar to the right side. This will keep content in view for you puny view peeps. This is a lot of work flipping images and re-aligning markup. I have to drive to San Jose this afternoon so maybe tonight after I get back I will finish it.
In the mean time scroll away.

The left column will not get any smaller with a smaller font.
It actually looks better on the right and the page loads better.

Ok, I got off my lazy but and actually looked at the css for this style. I see that the designer chose pixels for font size. I changed it to pt which is vBulletin default. Hopefully it scales better for you guys.
Meanwhile, the style fliped horizontally looks nice.

Yep, looks very nice indeed. THe bar on the right is less eye catching and the fonts are now equal which gives it an integrated feeling.
Nice work
