Once I began looking for vbulletin forums outside the official one I tripped over dozens of the things, where does the legal side of things stand with all these sites posting 'unofficial' mods etc..

I gather any completely new mod/skin etc we code ourselves is legal to share anywhere but what about forums offering mods that just come directly from vBulletin org etc.. and are posted either by licensed or unlicensed users ?

Also wondered if adding 3rd party mods to the licensed versions causes problems as well ?

Mods are the property of the creator and they can post them wherever they please. Jelsoft allows the modification of vBulletin but does not support a modded version. So you need to turn off all mods before reporting issues with them.
