Google Page Ranking updates

About This Page: This is a discussion on Google Page Ranking updates within the General Chat forums, part of the Community Center category, at vBulletin Modification Discussions. Did anyone notice that google updated the pageranks a few days ago. It also seems as though they also updated the algorithm as well. Anyone have any big changes?

Did anyone notice that google updated the pageranks a few days ago. It also seems as though they also updated the algorithm as well. Anyone have any big changes?

Yea we lost 1 point.......I noticed several other large sites went down quite a bit.

how do you check pagerank. under the webmaster tools at google I only see "Not yet assigned", "Low", "medium", or "high".

You can get a Page Ranking checker site, or get the PR toolbar

My one site went from PR0 to PR4 this update so i'm pretty happy about that.

Pagerank is updated on a daily basis. Only the visible historical representation of Page Rank is updated every 3 months or so.

My Page Ranking has stayed the same but my external links have been updated in google webmaster tools. This is always an early sign that something's about to happen.

They've been trying to keep updating the links in Webmaster tools almost daily here lately for last month or so i've noticed.

Hopefully they keep that up

No changes here... was at 5 and am still at 5. Highest ever was 6 a while back when the algorithm was a bit different.
